Does Speed Really Matter?

Good question, but yet so much answers. I would say it depends.

I am a careful person and I would not encourage to do 120Mph in a 50Mph zone while driving because this would be reckless and dangerous, and cause you to lose your life of the lives of others. So no speeding while driving.

For the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, speed does matter in winning the world record.

But for this blog post, I was talking about speed in the sense of which the time that your site takes to load up. Does the page load time really matter? Yes it does.

My blog is doing really great and many bloggers are really impressed with the achievement of my blog so far. I am also happy with this level of achievement and I am going to be achieving many more great things to come in the future.

First Step To My Success

In order to get this level of success you have to take the word free out of my mind. This is the reason why I am on a WordPress self hosted blog. There is nothing better than self hosted and this is one of the 5 common mistakes new bloggers make.

I remember being on free hosting and waking up one morning to find my blog deleted with all my blog posts. All my articles were gone, never to be seen again. So my tip for you is to stay away from free hosting of all sort.

I love when I write a new article and as soon as I publish it Google index’s it.

Having your articles showing up on Google Search Engine as you publish them is really great. For the past month I have got 15% of my traffic from Google according to my Google Analytics statics.

This resulted in:
181 Visits
7.41 Pages per visit
13 minutes 24 seconds Avg. Time On Site
29.19% Bounce Rate
11.89% New Visits

So it is really important to have your articles indexed by the number 1 site on the web, Google.

Do you have trouble increasing your page rank on Google?

In one of my previous article, What Is Best For Your Site: PageRank or Traffic, I stated that both are great for a site to be successful. I launched this blog 3 weeks ago and I have a page rank of 2/10. I am really happy with my page rank.

Page rank is calculated based on the number of back links that you are getting. In order to do that, participate on the techniques that generates back links like forum posting, blog commenting, article submissions, social bookmarking, classified ads, press release, link exchange, online groups and directory submissions.
