While you can certainly handle your blog’s SEO on your own, wouldn’t it make sense to get help where you can? Especially if that help was as easy as simply downloading a new plugin to your WordPress blog? The good news is SEO is easier than ever these days and it really is as simple as adding in a few new plugins!

If you’re looking to boost your blog’s traffic try implementing one or all of these:

1.  All in One SEO Pack

Like the name implies this plugin is an all in one option for increasing your blog’s SEO efforts. If you’re looking for a way to simultaneously increase your Page Rank, traffic, and optimization, among a slew of other benefits, then this is the plugin for you.

2.  Tweet Old Post

Instead of letting your old posts get lost in a black hole of blog posts bring them back to life and draw more traffic to your blog with the Tweet Old Post plugin. It automatically selects prior posts and sends them out to Twitter so that you can get more traffic to your blog and keep old posts fresh.

3.  WordPress SEO

This plugin has a unique feature in that it lets you do things such as preview posts and see if a title is too short or too long and ensure that your meta description will actually pull in the search results you want. It also does a slew of other things, all of which are geared at optimizing your blog to its highest extent so that you get focused traffic that benefits your blog.

4.  Google XML Sitemaps

If you’re looking for a way to ensure that your blog is indexed more effectively on the major search engines then this is the plugin to download. It works by creating a specific sitemap for your blog that makes it easier for the search engines to crawl your website and index accordingly. In addition, every time you publish new content it alerts the major search engines.

 5.  SEO Title Tag

Every time you write a blog post WordPress automatically assigns specific title tags to it, which is what search engines use to find your posts. However the assigned tags might not necessarily be the best ones for your post in terms of generating targeted traffic. With SEO Title Tag you are able to go in and customize the title tags associated with each post so that they’re more search engine friendly, allowing your blog to be more easily found.

There’s no reason not to take advantage of all of the plugins out there designed to help improve your blog’s traffic. Download one or all of them and your blog’s traffic will steadily continue to grow. It just takes a few clicks to download and implement them to your WordPress site, and you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Great list of plugins and I would say that most of these are a must have for your website straight off the bat. Anybody that is implementing a new website or blog should take a look. You can use Yoast as an alternative to All in one SEO.

hey Coleen, and welcome to Kharim’s blog – it surely is nice to see you here. 🙂

This review is quite inventive and I quite resonate with the five of them. Albeit, I no longer use all in one SEO plugin. Instaed I stick with WordPress SEO and xml site map. I’m thinking of uninstalling the latter though as I don’t want a lot of plugins. Would you be kind enough to advice me, Coleen?

I haven’t yet heard of SEO tilte tag save for now. Any further explanation before I install it?

    Thanks for the share, sister!

    Stay blessed,
    Sam

This is a good list of wordpress plugin. I really think that the most important plugins are those SEO related since most people really need to focus on the SEO activities of their websites. But I like how you actually give emphasis with tweeting the old post. As we all know, old posts get limited visitors so it is a good thing that we at least put some effort to make it visible again.

Hey Coleen, your guest post is awesome and I love it. I am currently using 4 of these plugins on my blog. The only on that I don’t use is the SEO Title Tag and this is because with the Thesis Theme I already have those features.

Thanks for your contribution to my blog and keep up the good work.

Thank you Coleen for your reviews. I am gonna give the Twitter plugin a shot and see how it works. The All in one, I love it! I use it for all of my SEO efforts on all the sites I touch. I have also used “Yoast”, not bad.
If you have not found a security plugin for your blog, try this one..it is AMAZING! “Bullet Proof Security.”
